This, Not This: Vol. 1
Fall must-haves to update your closet right now.
As a style expert, it’s my job to be decisive. This pant, not this one. This shoe, definitely not this one. Those subtleties of choices are the secret sauce to my fashion formulas and now I want to share them with you. Why? Because my goal is to help you become a better shopper, and in turn a better dresser.
Also, “not this” doesn’t mean no. It’s more of a pause.
For each category below, I’ve curated “this” in three different price points (low-price, mid-price and high-price) to suit any and all budgets. Just click the links to shop!

DENIM: LOW RISE (ish) not SKINNY
Don’t worry, I’m not suggesting we bring back the low-rise jeans circa early 2000’s (no whale tails here!) Instead, try a relaxed fit that’s both versatile and flattering. Pair them with your favorite sneakers or elevate the look with your favorite heels.
Low: Levi’s Low Loose Jeans $75.60 (pictured above)Mid: Reformation Val 90s Mid Rise Straight Jeans $148High: Re/Done Originals The Long Loose $295
BOOTS: KNEE HIGH not OVER THE KNEE
First of all, it’s way easier to style loose boots than tight ones. These work with everything from denim to dresses and, while I’m usually not a fan of kitten heels, these are sophisticated and perfect for everyday wear.
Low: Banana Republic Tori Tall Suede Boot $139.97Mid: Staud Wally Leather Knee Boot $495.00 (pictured above)High: Khaite The Davis Boot $1,280
JACKET: LEATHER BOMBER not MOTO
The right leather jacket, whether faux or real, is a wardrobe staple making any outfit look effortlessly cool. This season, I’m swapping my leather Moto for a leather Bomber. What’s the difference? A Moto is more fitted, usually with a banded collar, while a Bomber is has ribbed trim at the waistband and wrists and a softer, more relaxed fit.
Low: Lioness Kenny Faux Leather Bomber Jacket $109Mid: The Frankie Shop Arin Faux Leather Jacket $235High: Banana Republic Vintage Leather Jacket $450 (pictured above)
And as always, do you. Wear what makes YOU happy — this is just what’s bringing me joy when it comes to fashion.
